These Topics pages suggest some tips and techniques for continuing to manage the acquisition process.
Managing an acquisition
The management of the procurement process should not be ad hoc. In fact, I contend that procurement management should be a matter of policy, and that the policy should be driven by a strategy. Before you begin any procurement, you should have your procurement policies in place.
Keeping control
The acquisition process will rarely continue to run on its own, without being driven. It is essential that customers drive the process, rather than the service providers, and that they continue to drive the process in the right direction.
